1/16/26 – The Pet of the Week: Raz

Meet Razzle Dazzle Raz!  Raz is a four-year-old Lab mix.  He weighs 68 pounds, and workers at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter say he is a TON of fun in the play yards!  He loves to play fetch with balls or sticks. He’s so charmingly happy that it’s contagious!

Raz is housebroken.  He lives indoors and outdoors.  He’s well-mannered and good on a leash. Raz can even do some tricks like sit and give paw when asked.

Sadly, Raz came to the animal shelter because his owner passed away.  Now Raz is looking for his FURever home.  As wonderful of a dog as he is, you might think he’s a shoo-in to get adopted, but no dogs have that guarantee, especially black dogs.

Raz checks all the boxes for an easy, seamless transition into a new home.  Come meet him!

If you would like to fill out an adoption application for Raz or one of the other dogs or cats at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, click on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet him!  Raz’s adoption fee has been paid for which covers his neuter, microchip, and vaccines.

Operation hours are as follows: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except for scheduled surgery appointments; open Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 4:00 p.m.  Intakes are Wednesdays through Fridays from noon till four.  The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is located at 1888 Colbert-Danielsville Road in Danielsville, Georgia.  Their number is 706-795-2868.
