1/9/26 – The Pet of the Week: Lu

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Ludacris Lu!  He’s 23-week-old mixed breed pup.  Lu has been at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter for about 12 weeks.  Shelter workers call him a “professional snuggler” in training.  He sleeps through the night like a champ.

Lu is gentle and respectful with cats, great with kids, and gets along well with other dogs!  He is already learning a lot from his foster dog sister.  Lu can be a little apprehensive at first, especially when checking out new things, but with tiny bit of encouragement, he adapts quickly.  Lu is motivated by praise and encouragement.  He’s well on his way to being house-trained.

Lu does have a bit of nervous puppy pacing at times, like he’s still figuring out what to do with all of his feelings, but give him reassurance and a cozy spot, and he’ll settle right in.  Oh and his big boy bark will make an excellent home alarm system!  If you’re looking for a young pup with a soft heart, a goofy streak, and unlimited cuddle potential, Lu is ready to meet you!

If you would like to fill out an adoption application for Lu or one of the other dogs or cats at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, click on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet him!  Lu’s adoption fee is $100, which covers his neuter, microchip, and vaccines.
