11/07/25 – The Pet of the Week: Dottie

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Dottie!  Dottie is a heeler mix.  She’s 22-weeks-old weighing just a south of 20 pounds.  Shelter workers at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter describe as a little speckled firecracker who is full of life.  She may be small, but she’s got enough personality to fill a whole yard!

Dottie has been at the shelter for five weeks, and she’s ready for a life that’s bigger than a kennel.  Dottie is still learning not to get too jumpy when she’s excited, but she’s smart and easy to guide. Mostly, she’s just starved for love and playtime…the kind of freedom every puppy deserves!  If you’ve got room in your home and heart for a happy, energetic little sidekick who will make you laugh every single day, then come meet Dottie!

Dottie’s adoption fee $50 for the next couple of weeks.  The fee covers her spay, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.  If you would like to fill out an adoption application for Dottie or one of the other dogs or cats at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, click on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet her.
