11/20/25 – The Pet of the Week: Jaskier

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Jovial Gentle Jaskier!  This seven-month-old black lab mix has been at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter since June.  Yaskier weighs about 20 pounds.  Shelter workers describe him as an absolute gem-and a-half!  They say he is a sweet, playful, and happy puppy who gets along with other dogs.  He loves to play tug!  Jaskier picks up a ball just to gleefully get squirreled in puppy fashion and drop it as he moves on to the next thing!  He’s funny, entertaining, and just a hoot and a half!

Jaskier’s adoption fee is $50 for the next couple of weeks.  That fee covers his neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.  If you would like to fill out an adoption application for Jaskier or one of the other dogs or cats at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, click on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet her!

Operation hours are as follows: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except for scheduled surgery appointments; open Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 4:00 p.m.  Intakes are Wednesdays through Fridays from noon till four.  The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is located at 1888 Colbert-Danielsville Road in Danielsville, Georgia.  Their number is 706-795-2868.
