2/13/26 – The Pet of the Week: Delilah

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Delilah!  She’s the dog with a beautiful soul who has seen too much and is looking for a better life.  Delilah is a 7-year-old Rottweiler.  She weighs 83 pounds.  Sadly, she spent part of her life living on a chain.  When you look into her eyes, you can see the story she carries, and it tugs at your heart in a way that’s hard to explain.

Despite everything she’s endured, Delilah is incredibly sweet.  She doesn’t ask for much.  Her greatest dream is simple: a soft dog bed, a few tasty treats, and a home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished.  Delilah deserves to spend the second half of her life being spoiled, not surviving.

Delilah’s adoption fee is $100, which covers her spay and vaccines.  If you would like to give Delilah the home she so deserves, or any of the other available dogs or cats at the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter fill out an adoption application online.  You can do so by clicking on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet her!

Operation hours are as follows: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except for scheduled surgery appointments; open Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 4:00 p.m.  Intakes are Wednesdays through Fridays from noon till four.  The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is located at 1888 Colbert-Danielsville Road in Danielsville, Georgia.  Their number is 706-795-2868.

The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is also in need of donations. You can go to https://www.moaspets.com/donate. Since they are a 501c3 non-profit, your donations are tax deductible.  Animal supplies such as food are also welcome.  And while you’re at it, ask them about volunteer and fostering opportunities.
