2/27/26 – The Pet of the Week: Stely

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Stely!  He is a handsome one-year-old Collie mix with the perfect blend of brains, manners, and sweetness.  If you’re looking for an easygoing companion who’s already got the basics down, then Stely is your guy!  He’s dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly — truly a wonderful fit for just about any family!  Stely is playful too!  He gets along great with other animals and has even made friends with the neighbor’s pig!

Stely is fully house trained and crate trained, and he’s a total gentleman indoors.  No chewing up the house, no chaos — just a happy couch potato who enjoys relaxing near his people. Stely is incredibly smart and loves routine.  He even rings a bell on the door when he needs to go outside!  Stely is eager to please and picks up on things quickly.

He does have a slightly shy side and can be a little skittish when meeting new people, but with a little patience and kindness, he warms up beautifully and forms deep, loyal bonds. If you’re ready for a gentle, intelligent, well-mannered best friend who will happily share your couch and your heart, then Stely’s your guy!

Stely’s adoption fee is $100, which covers his age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, neuter, microchip, and adoption packet..  If you would like to give Stely the FURever home he so deserves, or any of the other available dogs or cats at the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, fill out an adoption application online.  You can do so by clicking on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet him!
