5/29/26 – The Pet of the Week: Gracie!

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Gracie! She’s a one-year-old mixed breed weighing 56 pounds. Workers at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter say Gracie is bundle of love, energy, and happiness looking for her FURever family!

She was originally adopted from the shelter as a puppy, but sadly found herself back in their care when her owner had to move. Despite the change, this sweet girl hasn’t let it dim her bright spirit. Gracie is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and always ready to make a new best friend.

She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats. Gracie is also great with kids and elderly family members, making her a fantastic fit for just about any home. Whether you’re heading out for a walk, taking a car ride, or relaxing at home, Gracie is happy to be by your side. She walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and is both house and crate-trained.

Gracie does have a high-energy personality, so she’d love an active family who can keep up with her playful side and give her plenty of exercise and attention.

She is already spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. All she needs now is a loving home. She’s ready to go home today and can’t wait to start her next adventure with you! Gracie’s adoption fee is $100, which covers her age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, spay, microchip, and adoption packet. If you would like to learn more about Gracie or any of the other available dogs or cats at the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, fill out an adoption application online.
