Meet Chubbs! Chubbs is a 70-pound, six-year-old brindle mixed-breed girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She came to The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter after her owner sadly passed away, and she’s still adjusting to all of the changes in her life.
Chubbs can be a little shy when meeting new people, but underneath her quiet demeanor is an incredibly sweet dog who simply wants to be close to someone she trusts. Once she feels comfortable, she’s happiest curled up beside her person, soaking up companionship and enjoying the simple comforts of home.
This lovely girl is dog friendly and has a calm, easygoing personality. She’s much more interested in sharing the couch with you than running a marathon. Shelter workers say Chubbs is a certified couch potato who would love nothing more than a cozy spot to nap and a family to love.
After losing the person she knew, Chubbs is hoping to find someone willing to give her a second chance and a soft place to land. She may take a little time to come out of her shell, but the reward is a loyal companion who will be devoted to staying right by your side.
Chubb’s adoption fee is $100, which covers her age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, spay, microchip, and adoption packet. Operation hours are as follows: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except for scheduled surgery appointments; open Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 4:00 p.m. Intakes are Wednesdays through Fridays from noon till four.
