The Pet of the Week
Just in time for Halloween! The foster kitties at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter are available for adoption! There’s Bagheera, the precious one-year-old mama and her kittens Bearcub and Mogli. Shelter workers describe Bagheera as the sweetest kitty. She is tolerant of children and does not attempt to scratch or bite. Bagheera loves to be petted and is very well behaved!
Meanwhile, the kittens Bearcub and Mogli are SO MUCH FUN! They can be found either wrestling or snuggling together sound asleep. There’s no in between time with the two of them.
Bearcub is all black and looks like he’s going to be fluffy when he grows up. He loves attention! Mogli is a bit more elusive but has warmed up a lot in the last few weeks. Shelter workers are hoping to get the siblings in a home together.

Operation hours are as follows: closed on Mondays and Tuesdays except for scheduled surgery appointments; open Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 4:00 p.m. Intakes are Wednesdays through Fridays from noon till four. Animal supplies such as food are also welcome. And while you’re at it, ask them about volunteer and fostering opportunities.
