12/12/25 – The Pet of the Week: Buck

The Pet of the Week!

Meet Buck!  Buck is a one-year-old mixed breed weighing about 50 pounds.  He and his brothers have been at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter for a little more than a month.  When Buck first arrived at the shelter, he would become anxious about walking on a leash.  But with some patience and practice, he has slowly been overcoming his fear.

Shelter workers say Buck has a big smile that lights up like a Christmas tree!  He enjoys playing in the backyard at the animal shelter.  In fact, when he goes outside, he sniffs around for a bit and then playtime is on!

Buck also knows how to sit, and he loves to lean on you for hugs!

If you would like to fill out an adoption application for Buck or one of the other dogs or cats at The Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter, click on the adoption tab at www.moaspets.com.  Or better yet, just stop by to meet him!
